Cowork OS Hermes

Your workspace.
A considered
connection.

A personal Hermes Agent integration that brings Google Drive context into an owner-directed AI workflow.

Access, explained

Broad permission.
Deliberate use.

Hermes is self-hosted and operated by Michael Mulcahy for personal use. It uses Google OAuth to connect to the owner’s Drive. This public website explains that connection; it does not provide sign-in, access to the agent, or a view into private files.

Google Drive full read/write access

The requested scope is https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive. It permits viewing, creating, editing, and deleting Drive files accessible to the connected account, subject to that account’s permissions.

On-demand retrieval and explicit approval for modifications are workflow requirements, not restrictions enforced by this OAuth scope. The integration is not limited to a selected folder or only files it creates.

How it is intended to work

Context with clear boundaries.

01 / RETRIEVAL

Start with a request.

Find and read relevant Drive information in response to the owner’s task.

02 / MODIFICATIONS

Keep approval explicit.

Creating, editing, moving, sharing, or deleting Drive content requires the owner’s explicit approval.

03 / PROCESSING

Understand where it goes.

Retrieved content and prompts may be sent to configured AI providers. Self-hosting does not mean all processing stays local.

Questions & control
